I apologize, its been far too long between posts and yet there seems not a whole lot.

I'm going skiing! For the record I have absolutely no idea how to ski. This may come as a shock (yet again) as to how someone born and raised in wintry Canada doesn't know how to ski but people like me exist. We're being wiped out by other people who know how to ski both figuratively and literally. Apparently they have a webcam that takes stills every second or so. So I will make my second (known) appearance on the internet... maybe.

"Remedial C++" as one of my friends lovingly dubbed is going well. We're calling it remedial not because the course is simple and its not because I'm a C++ guru, let alone expert. Its just that to me it just seems like C++ is simply another way of doing something, another language. Basically a computer language is like instructions for computers so there are fundamental ways you can tell it (the computer) to do something. You can't really deviate from the way of telling it, you just may have a different dialect. Learning the dialect is probably the easy part, learning all the quips, and figures of speech, requires a bit more. So going in, I thought this might be well difficult because maybe most people would know the same level. They would remember their first or second year computer introduction course... maybe not. Who knows, it probably will turn out to be much more difficult than it seems. Or maybe its just a weird quirk-I've noticed that as long as I have a few examples I can pick up a computer language or application-maybe its a different approach. To me they're almost all the same I just have to figure out how they're different from one another.

I ran 3 miles under 23 minutes the other day! that's a little bit over 8 miles an hour. I'm hoping to bump it up to around 9 because that's probalby ideal. I have to figure out a way to be able to run longer than the allotted 30 minutes on a treadmill.

Off to my plunge of death!
